Write to Connect was created from our own personal struggles in finding and learning how to use our voices.  We know:

Week 1: Finding Your Voice

  • Discover your unique writing voice.
  • Own your story and why it needs to be shared.
  • Uncover any self-thoughts holding your back from feeling confident in sharing your story.
  • Believe you are a good enough writer NOW.
  • Start writing (with the intention to share it!).

Week 2: Using Your Blog to Tell Stories that Connect

  • Learn how to take your unique story and voice (the one you found in Week 1), and start using it in your business.
  • Discover the anatomy for writing blog posts that are engaging and keep your readers wanting more.
  • Find out what your readers really want to know (and how you’re the only one that can give that to them).
  • Practice weaving your story into your writing + get quick feedback for improvement (exact level of feedback depends on course level chosen).

Week 3: Informal Writing Essentials + Learning to Love Editing

  • Learn why Informal Writing is key for business success + how to do it easily (this is especially good for you technical/formal writers).
  • Grammar Isn’t Everything, but it does help (we’ll give you lots of cheat sheets to make it even easier).
  • Communication tips for writing blogs + emails that are professional, but show off your personality.
  • Change the way you think about self-editing (it doesn’t have to be scary).
  • Find out why writing in a clear, concise way is essential + strategies to help you master the art.

Week 4: Start Acting like a Writer

  • Handle Writer’s Block like a Pro (it’s not what you think).
  • Develop a routine (or a NON routine) that gets you writing regularly.
  • Create your writing space and ritual.
  • Start feeling like a writer when you hit “publish”.

Week 5: Writing Live Times

  • Create a writing goal for the week and share it in the group.
  • Write ALL Week!
  • Extended LIVE Facebook hours throughout the week for immediate writing help (exact hours TBD) – come with any and all questions!
  • Achieve Your Goals with support from others.

Week 6: Editorial Calendars + Creating Beautiful Blog Posts

  • Set-up an editorial calendar that works for you. We’ll share what works for us and give you a template you can use.
  • Resources for posting/making blog posts.
  • Discover how to use photos with your blog in a way that helps your readers connect to you even more.
  • Learn how to easily make fun picture quotes that will make your blog even more sharable.
  • Our WordPress 101 for the people who are ready to start their first blog.

    Yes! During week six, you’ll be getting some videos to help you set up your blog. We promise it won’t be as painful as you think!

  • q-iconWhat if I can't make any of the coaching calls, should I still sign up for level two?

    You’ll have a chance to submit your Q’s before the call, we’ll answer them on the call, and you can listen to the recording. Plus, you don’t have to be on the call to get our edits and feedback, but you do have to sign up for level 2!
